No. Our Explorer plan gives you 90 days of free access with no credit card required. You can upgrade to a paid plan anytime during your trial.

Explorer is a separate plan: 90 days free, no credit card, one seat, 30 user-added assets, one cloud source, and 3 AI credits per day with a 60-credit trial total. The 14-day trial on direct paid plans starts after you enter a credit card and uses the capacity of your selected plan before your first charge. Choose Explorer to explore without a card, or a paid-plan trial to evaluate that plan’s allowances.

Each plan is one price covering a range of seats and an asset ceiling. Solo is $50 a month or $480 a year for one person and 300 assets. Team Starter is $2,100 a year for 2–5 people and 2,000 assets. Team Growth is $3,900 a year for 6–10 people and 5,000 assets. That is the whole charge.

The asset ceiling belongs to the workspace, not to each person — a five-person team on Team Starter shares 2,000 between them. AI credits work the other way round: the daily allowance is per member, so each person gets their own.

Move up when your seat or asset requirements exceed the current plan. Team collaboration, administration and Architecture & Value are available on eligible multi-seat plans. Cataloging, lineage, exports and Solution Packs remain subject to the plan's capacity and operational limits.

Your existing assets continue to work normally. New asset additions are blocked until you upgrade or remove unused assets. The app flags you in-app at 80% of your daily AI credits or asset limit, so you have time to decide.

No. The tools you catalog from MCP sources are a separate pool — they don't count against your plan's asset limit, so connecting a source that exposes many tools won't eat into your data-asset capacity.

AI features pause when the applicable credit allowance is exhausted. Non-AI features continue within your plan limits. Solo and direct Team plans can purchase additional credits from billing. Explorer and AWS Marketplace plans do not offer credit top-ups; their own allowance and reset rules apply.

No. Agent access has its own separate daily allowance and never consumes your AI credits — chatbot, Leverage, and recommendations are unaffected. The allowance covers context exports (Explorer) and live agent reads (paid plans): Explorer includes 5 exports per day; Solo, up to 500 live reads per day; Team, up to 2,000. These reset daily and are ample for typical agent use. (Separately: Agent Studio, where you scope agentic use cases, uses no credits to catalog MCP sources or export a definition — only its optional AI draft costs one AI credit per run.)

Agent Studio helps you plan an agent workflow: define the problem, tools, inputs, actions and guardrails, then export a definition for the team that will build it. It is included on every plan, including Explorer. Capability discovery reads what an MCP server advertises; it does not execute the proposed workflow. Cataloging sources and exporting a definition use no AI credits; the optional AI draft uses one AI credit per run.

At the end of Explorer’s 90-day trial, your workspace becomes read-only for 30 days. During that window, subscribe to restore access or export your work. After that window, the trial workspace content is deleted; your account remains so you can subscribe and start a fresh workspace. See our Privacy Policy for retention details.

If you've entered a credit card and are on the 14-day trial of a paid plan, your card is charged automatically at the end of the trial and your workspace continues uninterrupted on the paid plan. You can cancel anytime during the trial to avoid the charge. If you cancel, access continues to the end of the trial period.

No — Explorer is limited to one trial per email address, ever. If you'd like to try MyDataWork again after an Explorer trial, you can subscribe to a paid plan (which includes its own 14-day free trial).

The Windows Connector extracts structural metadata on your computer. Cloud connections and uploads have their own processing paths. MCP capability discovery reads advertised tool definitions without invoking the tools. See Security & IT Questions for what is accessed, sent and retained.

Cancel anytime through Manage billing; access continues to the end of your billing period. Annual plans are non-refundable. Export work you need to keep before access ends. Workspace retention follows our Privacy Policy.

Standard support comes with Explorer, Solo and Team: the in-app help center, full documentation, and the MyDataWork assistant, which knows the product and is aware of your estate. For anything it can’t resolve, email contact@mydatawork.com — we aim to respond within two business days.

Priority support is part of the managed 20-user package: a named contact and a faster response than standard support. Full terms are on the AWS Marketplace listing. It isn’t sold separately.

Credits apply to features that call an AI model, including recommendations, Leverage analysis, the Assistant and Workspace Agent. Credit costs vary by action. Cataloging, lineage and exports do not consume AI credits, but plan capacities and operational limits still apply.

On Explorer, Solo and direct Team plans, AI allowances are per person. Explorer includes 3 credits a day, capped at 60 across the trial. Solo includes 5 a day with a 25-credit weekly limit; Team includes 20 a day per member with a 100-credit weekly limit. Solo and direct Team plans can buy shared workspace top-ups: 10 for $5, 25 for $10, or 50 for $15. Purchased credits do not expire and are used after the included allowance.

The AWS Marketplace package includes 9,000 pooled AI credits per month across the workspace. The pool resets on the first day of each calendar month at 00:00 UTC; unused credits do not roll over. There are no top-up packs on this plan. Contact MyDataWork to discuss a larger allowance or team.

Connecting an AI agent does not use AI credits — agent access has its own separate daily allowance.

It is the largest plan we sell self-serve — 20 users for $7,500 a year, with a 14-day free trial. It carries 25,000 assets for the workspace, 5 times the Team Growth ceiling, 9,000 AI credits a month pooled across the workspace rather than a daily allowance each, and priority support with a named contact and a same-business-day reply.

Team Starter and Team Growth suit teams up to 10 with estates up to 5,000 assets. If you need more people, a bigger estate, or credits that flex to whoever is doing the work that week, the Marketplace plan is the step up.

They are different plans, not two ways to buy the same one. Team is self-serve: standard support, daily per-member credits, paid by card, up to 10 users and 5,000 assets. The managed package adds pooled credits, priority support, and purchase through AWS.

Choose the managed package if your organization purchases software through AWS Marketplace. Charges appear on your AWS bill, while your organization’s procurement and security requirements still apply.
