Explorer is the whole product, free for 90 days. Upgrade to Solo, Team, or Enterprise as your estate and your team grow. No credit card to start.
Procure MyDataWork for a team of up to 20 through AWS Marketplace.
Tell us the seat count and the size of your estate and we will set it up directly — whichever cloud you run. Enterprise plans carry negotiated seats and limits, custom asset ceilings, multi-year terms and billing by invoice. Teams that procure through AWS can also buy up to 20 from the Marketplace listing above.

Most teams recover the cost in the first week — in context they stop re-deriving, in reviews they walk into already prepared, and in evidence of what the estate is actually returning. The full breakdown covers context readiness for AI, time back from reconstruction, and knowledge that outlasts turnover.
See the ROI breakdown →Run them side by side. Collibra, Alation and Atlan govern your data; MyDataWork organises the work around it — which dashboard supports which decision, who really depends on a report, and what a KPI means in practice. It is the layer a catalog cannot see.
See how they work together →Monthly Solo plans have no contract — cancel anytime. Annual plans are billed upfront and are non-refundable.
No. Our Explorer plan gives you 90 days of free access with no credit card required. You can upgrade to a paid plan anytime during your trial.
Explorer is a separate plan — 90 days free, no credit card, but with usage limits (30 assets, 60 AI credits, 1 cloud source, 1 seat). The 14-day free trial on paid plans starts after you enter a credit card and gives you full paid-plan capacity (300+ assets, daily AI credits, all cloud sources, etc.) before your first charge. Pick Explorer if you want to try MyDataWork without commitment; pick a paid plan with a 14-day trial if you're ready to use the full product.
Each plan is one price covering a range of seats and an asset ceiling. Solo is $50 a month or $480 a year for one person and 300 assets. Team Starter is $2,100 a year for 2–5 people and 2,000 assets. Team Growth is $3,900 a year for 6–10 people and 5,000 assets. That is the whole charge.
The asset ceiling belongs to the workspace, not to each person — a five-person team on Team Starter shares 2,000 between them. AI credits work the other way round: the daily allowance is per member, so each person gets their own.
You move up when you add people or when your estate outgrows the asset ceiling, whichever happens first. Team collaboration, admin and the Architecture & Value rollup all arrive at two users. Cataloguing, lineage, exports and Solution Packs are unlimited on every paid plan.
Need something between 10 and 20 people, or beyond? Email contact@mydatawork.com and we will set it up — whichever cloud you run.
Your existing assets continue to work normally. New asset additions are blocked until you upgrade or remove unused assets. The app flags you in-app at 80% of your daily AI credits or asset limit, so you have time to decide.
No. The tools you catalog from MCP sources are a separate pool — they don't count against your plan's asset limit, so connecting a source that exposes many tools won't eat into your data-asset capacity.
AI features pause until the next day, when credits reset automatically. All non-AI features remain fully available. On paid plans, you can purchase additional credits anytime from your billing page if you need more. (Explorer does not include credit purchases — upgrade to a paid plan to extend AI usage.)
No. Agent access has its own separate daily allowance and never consumes your AI credits — chatbot, Leverage, and recommendations are unaffected. The allowance covers context exports (Explorer) and live agent reads (paid plans): Explorer includes 5 exports per day; Solo, up to 500 live reads per day; Team, up to 2,000. These reset daily and are ample for typical agent use. (Separately: Agent Studio, where you scope agentic use cases, uses no credits to catalog MCP sources or export a definition — only its optional AI draft costs one AI credit per run.)
Agent Studio lets you scope an agentic use case — decide which use case is worth building, which of your systems' tools it needs, and what guardrails it should have — then export a shareable definition (PDF or PowerPoint) for the team that will build it. It's included on every plan, Explorer included, and it's metadata-only: MyDataWork reads what a tool offers (its name, description, and inputs), never your data. Cataloging your MCP sources and exporting a definition use no AI credits; the optional AI draft that fills in the definition uses one AI credit per run from your plan's AI-credit pool.
Your workspace becomes read-only for 30 days. During that window you can subscribe to a paid plan to restore full access, or export all your work (PDF, PowerPoint, or JSON). After 30 days, the workspace data is permanently deleted, though your account stays active and you can subscribe at any time to start a fresh workspace. We send email reminders 7 days before your trial ends and 3 days before deletion so nothing comes as a surprise.
If you've entered a credit card and are on the 14-day trial of a paid plan, your card is charged automatically at the end of the trial and your workspace continues uninterrupted on the paid plan. You can cancel anytime during the trial to avoid the charge. If you cancel, access continues to the end of the trial period.
No — Explorer is limited to one trial per email address, ever. If you'd like to try MyDataWork again after an Explorer trial, you can subscribe to a paid plan (which includes its own 14-day free trial).
All plans include metadata-only scanning — including when you catalog MCP sources for Agent Studio, where MyDataWork reads only what a tool advertises (name, description, input shape) and never invokes a tool or reads a data value. Your data stays in your sources. See the Security & IT page for details.
Cancel anytime via Manage billing — access continues to the end of your billing period. Annual plans are non-refundable. Your workspace data is preserved if you resubscribe later.
Standard support comes with Explorer, Solo and Team: the in-app help centre, full documentation, and the MyDataWork assistant, which knows the product and is aware of your estate. For anything it can’t resolve, email contact@mydatawork.com — we aim to respond within two business days.
Priority support is part of the managed 20-user package: a named contact and a faster response than standard support. Full terms are on the AWS Marketplace listing. It isn’t sold separately.
A credit is one AI action. Cataloguing, lineage, exports and everything else are unlimited — credits only apply to features that call an AI model: use-case proposals (1 credit each), AI recommendations, Leverage analysis, the Assistant, and the Workspace Agent. The Workspace Agent gives you two free attempts per run before it draws credits, and caps a single Analyze run at 8.
On Explorer, Solo and Team, credits are daily and per person. Explorer gets 3 a day (capped at 60 across the trial), Solo 5 a day, and Team 20 a day for each member — not a shared pool. They reset every morning and don’t roll over. If someone runs out, AI features pause for them until the next day; everything else keeps working. Paid plans can buy top-ups (10 for $5, 25 for $10, 50 for $15) which go into a shared workspace pool, never expire, and are used only once a member’s own daily allowance is gone.
The managed package pools them instead: 9,000 a month across the whole workspace, resetting each billing cycle. Nothing is wasted on a quiet week, and heavy users can draw what lighter ones don’t. There are no top-up packs on that plan — if a team needs a larger monthly allowance we arrange it directly.
Connecting an AI agent does not use AI credits — agent access has its own separate daily allowance.
It is the largest plan we sell self-serve — 20 users for $7,500 a year, with a 14-day free trial. It carries 25,000 assets for the workspace, 5 times the Team Growth ceiling, 9,000 AI credits a month pooled across the workspace rather than a daily allowance each, and priority support with a named contact and a same-business-day reply.
Team Starter and Team Growth suit teams up to 10 with estates up to 5,000 assets. If you need more people, a bigger estate, or credits that flex to whoever is doing the work that week, the Marketplace plan is the step up.
They are different plans, not two ways to buy the same one. Team is self-serve: standard support, daily per-member credits, paid by card, up to 10 users and 5,000 assets. The managed package adds pooled credits, priority support, and purchase through AWS.
Choose the managed package if your organisation already procures software through AWS — the charge lands on your existing AWS bill, so there’s no new vendor to onboard and no separate payment set-up. That alone often decides it in larger companies.
Subscribe from the listing with your AWS account. AWS returns you to MyDataWork to create your workspace — if the email you use already has a MyDataWork account, we attach the new workspace to it.
Afterwards, seats, renewal and cancellation are managed in your AWS Marketplace console, not in our billing page, because AWS owns the billing relationship. The in-app AWS Subscription page under Account links straight there. Cancelling stops the contract renewing; access continues to the end of the term you have paid for.
